In the field of large port warp regulation, the Hastelloy butterfly valve offers a low flow resistance at full opening and sensitive flow control between about 15 degrees and 70 degrees. The butterfly valve already dominates the market and will continue to do so in the future.
Hastelloy butterfly valves have plate movement with wiping, making them suitable for media with suspended solid particles; depending on the strength of the seal, they may also be suitable for powder and granular media.
The reduced opening resistance is a result of the valve’s three-dimensional eccentric sealing system’s optimal design.
Its sealing surface is a conical form that is elevated vertically, and when opened, the points on its circumferential surface finish off the sealing ring simultaneously so that solids don’t gather there.
The elastic pressure of the seal ring closes the valve, and there is no phase jam between the seal on the valve body and the seal on the butterfly plate.
The valve’s ability to seal does not alter as a result of temperature variations.
