T-type strainers, often referred to as tub filtration systems, are typically used in big bore lines with diameters of 2 inches and more as permanent strainers. They may be attached to the pipe network that they are installed on by either welding or flanging it. The GMK T Type strainer is a complex filter that is constructed to order specifically to remove foreign impurities from the pipeline. Low-cost alternatives for high nominal bore straining standards may be found in the form of GMK T-Type Strainers. They are also able to be built for placements at right angles, which means they may be put in either vertical or horizontal pipes.
