GMK’s Forged Steel Ball Valves are offered in a variety of configurations, including floating and trunnion-mounted ball valves, with diameters ranging from 1/2 to 40 inches. Steel that has been forged is an alloy of carbon and iron that is compacted under great pressure to create a material that is both exceedingly hard and very robust. It ensures coherence in terms of both composition and structure because of the heat cycle and the deformation process, forging may result in metallurgical recrystallization as well as grain refining.
