Swing Check Valve With Counter Weight

GMK swing check valve equipped with a counterweight is useful when the flow is unobstructed and linear across the valve, the consequent pressure loss is negligible. As the media moves through the line, the disc rotates into the open position and becomes accessible. The closed position of the disc is maintained by the presence of back pressure in the line. We propose that, while installing the valve in vertical flow lines, you spin the counterweight 90 degrees in the clockwise direction. This ensures that the damper or counterweight will be in the horizontal position when the valve is ready to be used.
